Intimate Vow Renewal Wilbur By The Sea.
Here is an Intimate Vow Renewal in Wilbur by the sea for Richard and Annette. This was such a lovely setting for an intimate vow renewal on the beach. We met at Toronita park in Wilbur by the sea. Richard and Annette were surrounded by their children and their families. I was super honored to have the opportunity to photograph this moment in time for them. The beautiful arch was provided by Ceremonies by the sea. There is something so special about renewing your wedding vows after several decades have passed. The looks between a newlywed couple and a couple that as been married a while are so different. The looks are both so lovely but you can see in their eyes that the newlyweds know they have a lifetime ahead of them. They look uncertain and excited at the same time. Couples that have been married for a while have the look of adornment, knowing they have conquered battles of life with their partner standing in front of them, saying I do all over again.
I asked for their advice on being married so many years.
Yes, I went their. I know we all think we know the answer to a lasting marriage. But I love to hear it from the veterans themselves. When I asked Richard and Annette what is the secret to their lasting marriage, I got a short pause. And a smile. Richard said the advice was to keep the family together. Let your family see each other. Never stop doing that. I couldn’t agree more with him. I think so often we get so caught up in ourselves more than ever today in our fast paced changing society. We forget we have families and people we can turn to in times of need and desire for company. As someone who has started growing my own family, I find that I want my son to know his family members, to know them as he grows up and grows old. This is so important. I hope we can all find the time to spend with our families not just during the holidays, or even friends that have become family. It matters.
